Energy healing? How and why does it work? The Taoists refer to healing energy as yin chi and yang chi, this is how it works. This chi is the bio energy that gives us life. Their are no instruments that can measure chi as a physical energy yet, but chi has been documented by science to have an effect. Chi is not electricity. It is a spiritual bio energy, which is likely produced through mental capacity. Chi itself as a proven force is difficult to explain, although science can measure its effects on material objects and people. There is, however, no doubt that is can be very effective.
