Full Disclosure with BSN Syntha-6 Ultra-Premium Sustained Release Protein Powder

October 21st, 2009 by admin in Health and Fitness

Protein powders are used for different reasons. One person may need it as a dietary supplement; whereas another may need it as a way to increase their muscle mass. Working out takes a lot of energy and it is important for bodybuilders to be able to get the fuel that they need. Those with dietary needs have to have a protein powder that supplements their regular diet for whatever reason. Knowing what you need is important. A dual protein powder such as BSN Syntha-6 Ultra-Premium Sustained Release Protein Powder could be exactly what you need.

If you pick up a bottle of BSN Syntha-6 Ultra-Premium Sustained Release Protein Powder you will be surprised at the directions. The directions on the bottle vary depending on your own personal reason for using it. If you need it as a supplement to a meal then you will use it differently than if you were taking it to help your workout needs. It is very refreshing to see a manufacturer take different people’s needs into account.

Another plus that BSN Syntha-6 documents, which many other protein supplements do not, is that it does have certain allergens in the formula. They clearly state that the equipment used to produce the Syntha-6 does come into contact with milk, eggs, shellfish, soybeans, fish oil, peanut flavor and tree nuts. This is very important if you are allergic to any of these things. This makes buying Syntha-6 over the internet at www.amazon.com or another provider much easier because that is listed. Other protein powders do not list this and as a result you have to play a guessing game.

Syntha-6 also does not contain aspartame. So if you are looking for a good protein powder that is very reasonably priced, then this is the one you may want to consider. There were very few customer complaints regarding the supplement and for the most part everyone who left a comment seemed quite pleased.

BSN Syntha-6 Ultra-Premium Sustained Release Protein Powder is not for everyone. If you are on a liquid diet you do not want to use this supplement constantly because it has quite a few calories and fat per each serving size. Occasionally, it is fine or if you need the extra protein that day. If you are a couch potato and just like the taste of the shakes, then you are going to find yourself packing on the pounds fast.

Can You Catch More Bass With Attractants?

October 20th, 2009 by admin in Recreation and Sports

Often people take advantage of the olfactory system of the bass when trying to attract more fish to the end of their line. Bass in particular are really attracted to a few smells in particular. Of the scents that bass enjoy you have: salt, garlic, anise and a bunch of other spices.

A bass is equipped to determine whether a scent is “negative” or “positive” and will behave appropriately once that is determined. So of course, the companies who make fish attractants choose the positive smells to mimic their products after. Among the negative scents that the bass will avoid include gasoline or other strong odors transferred from your fingers and blood from a wounded schoolmate.

Bass have two nostrils on each side. One set of nostrils being the posterior and the other set being the anterior. While the fish is swimming, water flows out of the posterior nostrils after passing through the anterior nostrils and over the olfactory glands. This amazing olfactory system of the bass can actually detect 1 200th of a drop of a substance in approximately 100 gallons of water. For this reason alone, anglers suggest washing your hands before fishing and applying some sort of attractant to your bait, whether it is sprayed on or it is already impregnated into the lure.

Scent is not exactly the major factor in foraging for bass like it is with catfish, salmon and carp, but it does play an important role. Bass are known to hang onto a bait up to 30 seconds longer when a positive scent is present.

Lots of tackle and bait shops carry different attractant products as well as bass lures that already have a scent attached. The list of the top manufacturers for attractants include: Berkley, Basswax, Liquid Lure, Mega Strike, Mr. Goop, Dr. Juice and plenty more.

A great choice of attractant that I like to use are products containing a beeswax base in a tube like chap stick. Being that it is waxy, rather than liquid, it stays on the lure longer and there are no spills to worry about. I usually get my beeswax attractants from the company BassWax.

Ultimate Mma Magazine

October 19th, 2009 by admin in Recreation and Sports

Great matches, interesting interviews, MMA news and plenty of hot pics, these are part of the offer available with almost any mma magazine. Mixed martial arts publications are more numerous in those countries where MMA is recognized as an official sports. The Internet also provides the advantage of reading an MMA magazine, and a simple search online will show you how many options there available in many different languages. The United States, UK and Canada have the most numerous of MMA magazine issues, but it is easy to understand why.

The best read parts of an MMA magazine are interviews with celebrities from the world of The Ultimate Fighting Championship, whether we’re talking about coaches, sponsors or the athletes themselves. Some will discuss events, others comment on organizational issues, while most will focus on strategies, tactics, training tips, tensions between opponents and famous combat styles. A good deal of material is available for people eager to learn how to improve their mixed martial arts competence, and an MMA magazine usually has a professional consultant hired to cover such technical columns. Professional fighters often give tips, according to the large style variety.

Since mixed martial arts consist of a combination of wrestling, judo, Thai boxing, jiu-jitsu, taekwando, kickboxing and lots of other styles, a topic can hardly get exhausted by columns in an MMA magazine. In the majority of cases the articles are reader friendly although technical in content, therefore, you should be able to follow all the instructions. It is also worth mentioning that you can find discount coupons provided by an MMA magazine when in collaboration with a certain brand of mixed martial arts equipment. Sponsorship usually goes hand in hand with bargains and readers will be the first to benefit from them.

Great pictures and quality posters, these are two other elements that make an MMA magazine successful. There are even picture galleries with great snapshots from famous UFC matches and more. A special section is occupied by girls’ photos, since most of the readers that an mma cage magazine targets are male. Sex appeal sells, as we all know, and if there is a bit of adventure and manhood in it to give a thrill, the publication is all the more successful. Mixed martial arts publications are definitely a great joy for fans, and for monthly or bi-monthly issues, sales range high.

Weight Training Log Sheet

October 18th, 2009 by admin in Recreation and Sports

You can tell whether you are making any progress with the gym workout by keeping a weight training log. When the weight training log does not show the results you expect, you need to revise your workout routine and identify the possible mistakes that you are making. Over-training or under-training, these could be two of the problems. There are many ways to organize the weight training log: the traditional form is to have columns for all every set and workout so that you may know the sets you perform, their date and the resistance. Another system is to organize the weight training log not by the work out dates but by the weight increases.

Let’s take a practical examples and see what things should be like. For instance, if last time you trained you did eight sets of bench presses with 205 pounds, on your new session you may hit the same 205 pounds but this time in nine reps. If you’d stick to the same number of reps and weight, there would be no growth in the resistance, strength and muscle mass, and you’d only reach the much dreaded plateau. Such a weight training log is not difficult to get, just search on the Internet or customize a workout sheet as you see fit and then print it.

The weight training log should include a special column in which you can record your weight before every workout. Even if some athletes tend to believe that weight is not relevant for gym training results, you may find it helpful to learn how much lean mass you have put on. The weight training log should further include a cardio section too. The workouts can be kept track of in relation with the cardio performance. It seems that when performed before the weight training, the cardio routine reduces the intensity of the exercises.

Such a section in the weight training log book can help one better keep track of the evolution. Did you know that mood for instance affects your training? Find out when you feel in the right spirits to train by including a mood section in the weight training log. Normally, you wouldn’t be able to make a pertinent observation from one week to another, unless you have this weight training log to check. If high energy levels define your mood at 5 pm every Monday, then, that is a great time to train, but this is just an example of how you can use the mood section in your advantage.

Distance Healing — Join The Spiritual Journey.

October 17th, 2009 by admin in Self Help and Motivational

Distance healing: some experience.

When I first began with energy healing I knew nothing at all about it. I did not know about things like reiki, chakras, healing with the hands, distance healing, higher-self, chi, or channeling.

This is how it began, not with me, but with my wife. She learned the first degree in the Usui reiki system. Afterward she become very enthusiastic about it all, and continued to study the second degree. This was her calling, she felt she had found it at last, and indeed this was true. Yes to date she has founded the WhiteLight Self-Empowerment system, which has spread around the world, the Golden Eye Grid, the Grid Connection, binaural beat meditation music, and teaches channeling, and psychic psychology, and much more. Get more info on distance healing here:advanced reiki

Remembering my first simple reiki session I have to laugh. Being what I am I was naturally skeptical about it, but I remained open to it, and allowed her to give me her first session.

Well it was the best thing ever. My whole body vibrated, and afterward I felt like my legs where made of spaghetti. I could not stop laughing. It had seriously released blockages. The door to my own spiritual journey had begun after that great experience.

As far as distance healing goes, that was amazing too, my first experience, and came soon after she had completed the third degree. But, through her own system, the WhiteLight Self-Empowerment, I experienced the best distance healing of all.

Wow! I am her subject of experimentation. She practices her sessions and systems out on me, and always attunes me first in them. And so the WhiteLight distance healing was so strong that afterward I felt energized, yet relaxed. It was as if I had slept all night.

The cool thing was that the head ache I had that day was gone in an instant. But his time I cried afterward. I wept. At the time I had been experiencing a lot of sadness, which I had bottled up inside of me. Through the awesome distance healing all of that blocked emotional garbage had been released, and I felt like a new man! Learn more right here:distance healing

Often distance healing is stronger than direct healing. Why? Because both people involved are mentally focused on the task, which increases the vibration. The coolest thing of all is that my wife was first introduced to her psychic abilities through this session. So as she was giving me the healing energy, she tried to see where I was, and what I was doing. She did not have any idea where I was.

Sensing or seeing the situation she could tell me what was going on. She saw the truth, and told me I was sitting on a park bench, and that’s exactly what I was doing. She had seen this situation as it was happening during the session. I was amazed. Her ability to sense what is wrong with the people she wants to heal has become more, or she is more aware of it. Indeed, her intuition allows her to do a great job at distance healing. This all started with reiki. Your spiritual journey is probably waiting for you right now? Requirements for Successful Goal Setting and Achievement

October 16th, 2009 by admin in Self Help and Motivational

Goal setting helps us determine our priorities, get organized, make big decisions, and realize our dreams. The act of merely setting your personal goal brings about positive change for many people. When you set a goal you are creating an exciting challenge for yourself. Almost all motivational experts incorporate goal setting as an important part of their programs. The effectiveness of Goal Setting can be seen in the incredible accomplishments of people such as: Henry Ford who wanted to make cars affordable for everyone, Bill Gates whose goal was to have a computer in every household, and John F. Kennedy who set out to put a man on the moon within a decade. There is a famous story about Jim Carrey who, while struggling as an actor in 1987, drove his car up on Mulholland Drive in the Hollywood hills to think about the future. While sitting there overlooking the city of Los Angeles he wrote a check made out to himself for “acting services rendered” for the amount of $10 million. He dated the check for Thanksgiving of 1995. Jim’s Goal turned out to be conservative because by the time 1995 rolled around he was making $20 million a movie.

A typical goal achievement process entails the following requirements:

Well formed Goal Statements
Breaking goals down into manageable Steps
Motivation and Commitment
Reminders and Keeping on track
Frequent Review and Re-assessment

1. Well formed Goal Statements

The Goal Statement forms the basis for the entire process so careful attention should be placed on formulating a clear and accurate goal statement. A good way to remember how a goal statement should be defined is the old S.M.A.R.T. acronym used by many experts in goal setting. SMART stands for:

Specific
Measurable
Action-Oriented
Realistic
Tangible

The Goal should be specific enough so that we know exactly what we are striving for, measurable so we know exactly what is to be accomplished and when it has been reached, action-oriented declaring positive activity that will produce results, realistic in that it is practical and can be achieved given the limited availability of resources, and tangible meaning concrete and not vague. The goal statement “Increase sales 25% by the end of the fiscal year without increasing advertising spending” is an example that follows these rules.

2. Breaking down Goals into manageable Steps

Once we have a well-formed Goal Statement we need some direction to follow to achieve this Goal. While the goal “Increase sales 25% by the end of the fiscal year without increasing advertising spending” is a great goal statement, this is a monumental task without being broken down into smaller detailed steps. The creation of Goal Steps gives us an “Action Plan” that when completed will lead to Goal Achievement. Steps also allow for tracking of progress towards the goal. Goal Steps should be positive and not used to list obstacles that must be overcome which focuses on the negative. Negativity can kill motivation but there is power in positive thinking.

3. Motivation and Commitment

Motivation and commitment are what make us strive to achieve goal. They give us the push, desire, and resolve to complete all of the other steps in the Goal process. This motivation can be obtained by developing a personal statement that creates a high level of emotion and energy that guarantees achievement. One self help expert said that as a child he was kicked out of his local country club pool because he was not a member, in response he later made a goal that he would one day have a pool that is one foot bigger than that country club’s pool. The motivation of being asked to leave the pool provided the necessary fuel for him to achieve this goal. Commitment creates more accountability and is what sets us on direct course to reach our goals. It may create costly negative consequences upon failure to attain a goal. Making a commitment might be something like having invested your savings in your new business which you will lose if it fails. Motivation and commitment are specific to your situation and life and only you can form statements that will ensure you reach your goal the quickest. The more personal you make your motivation and commitment statements for each goal, the more motivated you will be to accomplish your goal.

4. Reminders and Keeping on Track

Reaching our goals requires persistence and regular attention. We need some sort of system to keep us reminded and accountable. Sharing goals with others who can give you help and support is a highly effective way to increase your chances for success. If some accountability system is not used then we are likely to lose sight and fail.

5. Frequent Review and Re-assessment

When we first sit down and start to define goals it can seem like a difficult and daunting task but over time it begins to get much easier. Patience is required. Goal Setting is definitely an ongoing process that is accomplished over time. Any goals program that defines goals and then ignores them will fail. All goals due in the next year should be reviewed at least once a week and daily if possible. The great thing about frequent review is that this forces us to make big decisions and determine priorities in our life. We should keep watch for goals that are not being achieved on time or for goals on which we keep extending the deadline.

Fitness Training At Imperial Beach Gym Classes

October 14th, 2009 by admin in Health and Fitness

An Imperial Beach gym for you, it may seem a difficult decision when you look into a gym. But really it shouldn’t be that hard. Find out what you really want in a gym and focus on those things. Whether it be females only, or special classes they may offer. Or even a specific type of machine you want to use.

Everyone will have a list that will be different when you look into a gym. Some things will be the same though. You will also need to think about what the cost will be for that Imperial Beach gym as well. But that shouldn’t be the only thing that will make your final decision.

Finding a gym that will be easy to get to is very important. In that case you should possibly look at gyms that are close to you. Something that you will be able to attend at least three to four times a week or more. With something that is too far away you may show up at first many times, but as time goes by, you lose the motivation to keep going.

Your list you’ve made should be separated into those things that you must have, and the things you wish to have. Because not everything will always be possible to find. Just because you’ve found a gym that matches most of your list, you should still consider it, because the cost may be the best overall.

Even though it may seem that your best bet would be the Imperial Beach gym that cost the least to join, that isn’t true. You always need to visit a few gyms in order to see them in person. Checking not only to see if machines are working, but how people act in the gym. If the people are intimidating to you, it’s not going to be a location you will be happy at.

See what the equipment looks like and that it’s all working. As well as finding out about a personal trainer, they add a lot to a program. If your Imperial Beach gym offers this as part of the membership fee it’s a great deal. It could be something that will possibly make the decision for you.

They will also assist in setting up a unique program that will include cardio, weights, and nutrition for you to follow. Seeing if they are included in a membership fee will possibly be something that will make one Imperial Beach gym stand out above all the others.

In closing, you should look to meet most of your requirements for an Imperial Beach gym center. But don’t be too disappointed if you can’t get everything you’d hoped for. Don’t settle for the cheapest gym center to join, because you may find it’s not the best choice in the long run. Consider the option of a personal trainer carefully; it’s a fantastic way to add some fabulous results.

Ultimate Fight

October 13th, 2009 by admin in Recreation and Sports

Although there was little official background for ultimate fighting back in the early 90s, a group of enthusiasts have created the Ultimate fighting Championship or UFC that has grown to become the most important mixed martial arts competition in the world. Ultimate fighting was initially planned as a single-event tournament for the best world fighters to try their skills no matter their combat styles. The first matches were criticized and critical because there was no regulation available, the injury cases were very numerous and ultimate fighting matches were considered incredibly violent and barbaric.

Even if flexibility is still a major advantage of ultimate fighting, stricter rules are presently imposed in competition under the close supervision of the State Athletic Commissions. The championship is a legitimate sports event advertised as mixed martial arts rather than as cage fighting. The increased safety rules have had a major impact on the public, leading to a clear social acceptance of the sport and a chance to get broadcast matches on TV channels. Fifteen years of ultimate fighting now, and the popularity of the sport is still on an ascending path.

There are reality shows and television series focusing on ultimate fight, which only reflects the major appeal to wide market sectors. What used to be criticized at the beginning, has now started to appeal to the public as more and more people watch the up-and-coming ultimate fighting episodes. The Ultimate Fighter could have been a failed project even before production as such because no television before Spike TV, agreed to produce it. The very beginning of ultimate fighting on TV was a real hit, and the history of mixed martial arts is far from being over on the small screen.

Besides TV shows, you’ll find ultimate fighting well represented on the Internet too, where the number of materials dedicated to mixed martial arts is growing day by day. There are courses, clubs and special programs sponsored by UFC and despite the violence of the matches, the popularity of mixed martial arts is far from decreasing. Back in 1996, fierce campaigns were organized against ultimate fighting, and although the virulence of the expression has decreased, there is still a significantly large number of people who consider mixed martial arts a threat to athletes and a social negative influence.

Organic Cotton Products - All You Need To Know About

October 13th, 2009 by admin in Food and Drink

If you wish to invest in organic cotton, there are a few things that are important to remember. First, organic cotton is cotton that is grown without the use of pesticides and artificial fertilizers. By avoiding the use of these products, the cotton that is grown does significantly less damage to the environment than cotton that is grown with the use of these synthetic compounds. As there are no chemicals being washed in the waterways, animal and fish populations are not damaged by the growth of the cotton. In addition to this, by helping to eliminate the pesticides and fertilizers, the number of dead sea sections and their size is reduced as less nitrogen and phosphate rich nutrients are being washed into the ocean.

However, there is another facet to organic cotton that cannot be ignored. Fair trade organic cotton, while more expensive, is quickly growing in popularity. Fair trade is a movement that helps secure and develop the rights of workers in third world and developing nations. Not all organic cotton is fair trade cotton, and not all fair trade cotton is organic. This can be especially frustrating for people who want the best of both worlds.

A good indicator of whether or not organic cotton is fair trade is by checking the labels on the cotton as well as the price. Fair trade materials and goods come at a higher price than other sources, in part due to the fact that the base workers are paid better and the fair trade goods are more carefully watched. Combining organic and fair trade often means that the price of the finished product is quite a lot higher than alternative products.

When you are trying to decide if organic cotton clothing is right for you, take the time to seriously look at the consequences of using non organic cottons, the compare it to places that have a majority of organic goods produced. By preserving the environment, less of your tax dollars will be used in the restoration of the environment caused by non organic farming. In the end, this lets your money be more wisely spent. While it will not stop you from paying taxes, it may help your tax money be shifted over to other needs, such as road infrastructure and repair and schools.

There is little difference between the texture and feel of organic cotton and non organic cotton. However, those will allergies or sensitivity to pesticides will notice a lot more comfort and far less reactions to organic cottons.
