Acai berries are the one of the hottest diet and health supplements on the market today. They have been featured on talk shows, news programs, and in newspapers and magazines. Many people are concerned that an acai berry scam will rob them of their money so they forsake the opportunity for the health benefits they can get.

You will be asked to pay a substantial for the “right” to buy supplements at a reduced price that you can then sell at a profit. With any business like this, the cost of the distributorship should easily be recouped with your first order. If a company wants you to pay a lot of money to them so you have the right to sell their product, the product probably isn’t very good.
Another scam that people complain of is getting billed for supplements they did not want after signing up for a free trial. The only thing I can say about this scam is to make sure you know what you are signing up for when you get something “free”. We both know that this world doesn’t run on giving things away for free so if you get something for free, there is always a price. In the case of health food supplements of many types, the cost of the free trial is a recurring monthly shipment that is not free. This is the same thing you get into with getting CD’s from Columbia House so it is nothing confined to the health supplement industry.
With supplement trials and recurring shipments, all you have to do is cancel your shipment before it gets charged to your credit card. If you do get pills you didn’t want, make sure you don’t open them and contact the company to find out what you have to do to return them. All reputable companies will accept returns.
